☀️What a Summer! I wore a lot of my hats this summer & didn't lose any of them on the roller coaster of events! 🎢Kicked it off in June celebrating my husband's birthday. Then off to a collaboration of the minds with my colleagues from America's Credit Unions Marketing, PR and Development Council at our Exective Committee strategic planning meeting in the beautiful Salt Lake City, Utah. Thank you Spencer Carver and Mountain America Credit Union for being the best hosts to our crew!Squeezed in the state bowling tournament where both kids competed (Lexi's first tournament ever) in Tampa.Then, in late June, I had the joy of chaperoning a mission trip with with Urban Impact Ministries in NOLA with my church youth group. A memorable trip with my 16 year old and my 10th (now 11th) grade girls from my Wednesday night small group! We stopped in to Panama City on the way home from NOLA for my nieces wedding. It was a gorgeous day and sweet ceremony. Then it was on to Detroit, Michigan in July for the national youth bowling competition, Junior Gold 2024 where Brooks (my 16 year old) competed against about a thousand other young men from across the country. I will forever cherish the roadtrip with my boy. What a great experience for him to play against the best of the best and even meet many of the pro's we watch on TV! Last, but definitely not least, the pinnacle of the summer's events - and the ending of my three year journey through Credit Union Management School (also with America's Credit Unions)! I hopped over from Detroit to Madison, Wisconsin. I had an amazing week with friends, lifesavers and mentors as we graduated & received our Certified Credit Union Executive (CCUE) designations on the University of Wisconsin - Madison campus. I cannot thank Rudy C. Arceo II,MS,CCUE,SPHR enough for supporting me through this journey & express my deepest gratitude to Envision Credit Union leadership for investing in my professional development and growth. It was a memorable experience that stretched me beyond any other professional limit I have ever experienced. I am so much better for it.I'll skip the details about delayed flights, the 4th time catching Covid, & the hurricane that just sailed over, but happy to be home and healthy now! Although the busyness of the summer's events are now behind me, it is not lost on me that I am incredibly fortunate to have such caring, daring and vivacious colleagues, family & friends to do this life with. Special thanks to my husband, mom & mom-in-law that so graciously cared for my daughter (age 7) & son while I took care of these other important responsibilities in my life. I had peace of mind for my girl while away.Whew, I'm tired all over again typing about it all. 🤣 What a remarkable summer it has been. Here's to the next season ahead! 🚢 Thrilled beyond words set sail last week on a voyage of gratitude to surprise 70 incredible teachers with a free cruise for two as we celebrated Teacher Appreciation Week! 😯 🌊 It was an honor to navigate this sea of appreciation from Envision Credit Union with our community for these teachers' dedication and hard work. Just took a stroll down memory lane looking at photos from my husband's 40th birthday about 5 years ago when we went skydiving! 😱✈️ The rush of adrenaline, the nerves, and the sheer excitement – all captured in those pictures. 📸 It got me thinking...I am really glad I did it.What's something you believe everyone should do at least once in their lives?
